Milan & Lake Como

I had the unique opportunity to return to Italy with my husband; I had once studied in Florence as a painting major, and to be able to go back to Italy and visit Milan was unexpected and truly a dream come true. Since this was a work trip for my husband and I was his tag-a-long, it was just me, my camera and wherever I decided the map would take me for the day. I spent two days footing it through Milan, finding my way through Parco Sempione and then stumbling upon the Sforza Castle at sunset. I also strolled the streets of the Fashion District, shopped in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and of course, visited the Duomo. (I remember as an Art History student, we always called it “Milan’s Drip Castle”… and once standing in front of its Gothic spires you can see why.) A huge highlight of the trip was dinner at Antico Ristorante Boeuce. It just so happened to be truffle season, and I couldn’t resist the splurge.
