Journey Around China

My journey around China was a hectic but thrilling experience. In a short 3 weeks I managed to visit a several places in this truly fascinating and diverse country. I began with Beijing, a city full of character and history. I saw the incredible Forbidden City—once completely inaccessible to the public—as well as the beautiful Summer Palace and (probably my favorite place in Beijing) the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven offers you a chance to watch locals going about their everyday life. Three Weeks in Northern India

I spent many months planning an itinerary, booking trains and hotels, and generally trying to perfect my three-week trip to North India. Honeymooning in Singapore and Langkawi

We wanted our first stop to be a city break and, having visited Singapore a few years prior, we knew it would be a great pit stop to unwind from the whirlwind of the wedding. We stayed at the recently built and elegant Fullerton Bay Hotel in a suite with stunning views of the marina and the incredible ship-like Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The breakfasts were absolutely enormous, the service truly spectacular, and the rooftop pool bar was simply superb. We spent our first two days half-submerged in the pool, acclimating to the humidity of Singapore, drinking delicious cocktails and fresh juices, eating the most incredible truffle-oil french fries, and trying desperately to get a semblance of a tan. As with all of our holidays, food played a leading role in our trip. We ate our way around Singapore, hunting down the famous black pepper crab I had been craving since my first trip. Read More ›

Fantasy Weekend at Suryagarh Palace

After being invited to be a guest at a wedding in the western deserts of India, I found the offer to be one I couldn’t refuse. Even now, looking back on these photographs, it all feels like a dream too incredible for reality. It’s almost as if we were living in a beautiful fantasy for three unending days at Suryagarh Palace. The bride and groom were incredible hosts, thinking of everything, taking care of everything, and giving us such amazing surprises around every corner. Read More ›
